Sominique Carlson serves as Associate Pastor at The Grove and is passionate about helping people discover a deeper relationship with Jesus and live out their faith with confidence and purpose. A Southern California native, Sominique earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in pastoral counseling. Prior to joining The Grove, she served as a chaplain at a substance abuse treatment center, where she walked alongside individuals in recovery and supported their spiritual growth. Sominique brings experience in pastoral counseling, discipleship, and women’s ministry, and loves helping people find community, experience healing, and take their next step with God. Outside of ministry, Sominique enjoys spending time with her husband, Rand, their son, Omri, and their dog, Ollie. From family workouts at the Y to discovering new coffee shops and cheering on the soccer field, she loves making memories with the people she loves most.
