It doesn’t take much looking around to see that as a society, we are utterly confused by human sexual desire. Does sex mean everything or nothing? Is it about pleasure or is it about union? Is it sacred or sinful or something in between?

Part of our confusion lies in the fact that sexual desire is a good and God-given thing. But like most good things, we have distorted it beyond recognition– in our media consumption, in our private sex lives, in how we teach children about sexuality.
